Why is sound so important in a film?
Sound gives a film tone, atmosphere and gives the audience ideas about the plot, characters or the type of genre the film is. Sound is the 50% in a film. Contemporary sound director's in films make sound 3 dimensional to give the audience a visceral experience.Sound: A sound/noise which is produced by continuous and regular vibrations.
Soundscape: A piece of music considered in terms of its component sounds.
Sound design: The process of specifying, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements.
'Suspending disbelief': Moving the audience from the real world into the world of the film.
